Via 313 started with two brothers, Brandon and Zane Hunt, and a childhood obsession with the square, caramelized-edge pizza they grew up eating in Detroit. After years of missing that flavor, they decided to bring it to Austin — first from a pop-up trailer, then a brick-and-mortar, and now multiple beloved locations.
The name "313" is Detroit's area code — a badge of pride worn by every pizza we make. Each pie is baked in a seasoned steel pan, creating the impossibly crispy, lacy-cheese bottom crust that Detroit pizza is famous for. We use fresh, high-quality ingredients, house-made sauces, and recipes refined over years of perfecting our craft.

Brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt launch Via 313 from a small trailer on East 6th Street. Austinites wait in line for their first taste of authentic Detroit-style pizza.
Word Spreads Fast
Via 313 earns its first major press features and is named one of Austin's best new food experiences. The trailer becomes a destination, drawing fans from across the city.
First Brick & Mortar
After overwhelming demand, Via 313 opens its first permanent restaurant location in South Austin, bringing the full experience indoors — cold beer, great pies, and great vibes.
Expanding the Family
A second Austin location opens, cementing Via 313 as one of the city's most-loved pizza brands. The team grows and the culture deepens.

Detroit native who brought his childhood pizza obsession to Texas and turned it into an Austin institution. Brandon drives the creative direction and quality standards at Via 313.
Zane Hunt
Co-Founder & Operations Lead
Zane keeps the engine running. From staffing to supply chain, he ensures every location delivers the same exceptional experience that started on a trailer in East Austin.
